Books in Every Home
Books for Every Home is a literacy initiative by Literacy Doorway that aims to put books into the hands of every child in underserved communities. Many children grow up without books at home, which impacts their reading development and confidence. This campaign helps close that gap by building personal libraries—one book bundle at a time.
How It Works

Collect: We accept new and gently used children’s books (ages 2–12) or You can donate money to buy new books. To donate books contact here.

Bundle: Volunteers organize books into age-appropriate packs.

Distribute: We deliver books through schools, libraries, shelters, and community centers.

Access Books Bay Area is a nonprofit that brings high-quality books and library makeovers to underfunded Bay Area schools, where many students have little to no access to reading materials.
